I recently passed my test on the first go with only 2 grade 2 faults. I had been driving for around a year before sitting my test so I had picked up a few bad habits! I rang mike just 3 days before my test and he managed to arrange a lesson the day after. He went through the testing process with me and it was obvious he knew what he was talking about! He gave me some great pointers and even managed to fit in a pre-test in the morning before the test. I couldn’t recommend Mike enough a great instructor and brilliant teacher.

He let me borrow some massively helpful reading material from him, and in only 4 lessons helped me iron out all my bad habits which I had picked up while driving uninstructed. I only had a short amount of time to learn to drive from scratch. I choose Michael based on a recommendation, I found that he ensures each lesson has a plan and structure which allows you to accomplish something each lesson. I had a lot more to learn than I thought (and a lot of bad habits I had picked up to rectify) but Mike thoroughly brought me through every single aspect of the test. He is easy to get on with and explains things very clearly, step by step. He is very accommodating with bookings and I love the way he texts a reminder the night before a lesson. I passed my test just last week thanks in large part to Mike, when I started to learn to drive with Mike I could literally start the car and that was it! But Mike’s clear and patient teaching style affable manner and knowledge of exactly what is needed to not only pass the test but also to be a good driver meant that after a few weeks of lessons and practice I passed the test. Mike is by far the best driving instructor in Castlebar. Passed my Test after about 8 lessons with mike. Had lessons with numerous other instructors before hand but nobody taught like Mike. Learn To Drive With Castlebar No 1 Driving School
I got a test date in Castlebar just last week on a cancellation as I am emigrating. I had previously failed my test in a different town. I had never driven around castlebar before this week and obviously unfamiliar with the route around the town. After just 3 hours I felt very comfortable with the routes and much more confident in my driving. Mike is a great instructor with great tips and advice on reversing and positioning which were aspects I had trouble with in the past. I passed the test today just 3 days after driving around Castlebar for the first time! I would definitely recommend Mike to any of my friends or family.
